Massage Courses:


Learning Massage Therapy can help to promote relaxation and relieve all aches and pains caused by bad posture, stress, over working or training for long periods of time.

The techniques you will learn will enable you to be able to loosen up and relax tight muscles, reduce pain in tight areas, improve circulation and help maximise sports training and performance to repair the body after any type of exercise, or simply just relax the muscles and de-stress.

The Courses offered are at a advanced level, and is an opportunity for any Health Therapist or sport professional wanting to learn more techniques to add to there repertoire of skills.

However beginners with no experience are welcome as I teach these techniques in a no stress environment and make it fun to learn and go through each move slowly and explain everything clearly so you won't feel inadequate. ( its all about enjoying what you do and to learn new things in a fun way)

These short courses are designed for Personal Trainers / Team players & Coaches and anyone with a general interest in Health sport and Well being.

The courses will be mostly run outside of normal working hours. ie one evening during the week and over the weekends. Classes are small min 4 people, max 8 people so you get more one on one tuition.

Courses during the working week ie Mon - Fri (day hours- 9-5pm) can be arranged - please ask but maximum numbers are required to run these courses.

I have a supplier for students wishing to purchase massage tables at affordable prices - Please ask if you are interested during the course.


Course Options:

2 full days - 9am - 5pm Courses will be one Sunday over the weekend, and one Sunday the following weekend.

or one whole weekend Saturday and Sunday can be arranged to suit also.

For Week day courses they will run:

1 x evening during the week for 2 1/2 hours for 6 weeks.

Minimum number for class to run is 4 people, maximum 8.

Group bookings are possible minimum numbers 4 people - times and days can be arranged to suit please discuss with me.

This course will be teaching you to massage the muscles from the lower and upper back, shoulders and legs.

( I will however be running a more advanced course on particular muscle groups and common injuries on how to massage the muscles of either the Upper or lower body at a later stage) feel free to enquire and ask me when I will be running this course.

Massage tables, oil and course material all supplied and part of the course fees.

What you would need to bring with you:


2 x Big towels (beach or spa size)

Pen and paper (A4 size book or refill) a note book size will be too small

Wear comfortable clothing

Water bottle / snacks to eat and lunch for weekend courses - you will have time to go to North City Plaza to buy lunch and eat if you wish for the weekend courses.



Total hours = 15 hours - Certificate from Porirua Sports Massage on completion (Not NZQA)

If minimum numbers are not reached, the course would be postponed and will be condensed with the next date. You will always be advised if this happens with as much notice as possible.
